ARTIST STATEMENT

​My name is Miranda Lynn Wedge and I am an Illustrator. I am currently working to establish a name as a gallery artist with a focus on self awareness. I draw inspiration from lifes ponderables and transform what I have learned into comedic or curious images. I work mostly in pen because the perminance of each line is like life; you can work on top of it but can not take it back. Drawing what I see has become an obsession. It fills me up, commiting my toughts and receptivity to a tangable form of my energy for others to see.

Miranda currently attends College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI. She is a third year illustration major with big dreams for her future. Miranda loves to see the world while traveling has been a part of her live from a very young age. Born in Laguna, CA her military family carried her accross the U.S. living in five differant states. This past summer she spent working in Yellowstone National Park to find a second passion; nature. While the city holds a close space in her heart, she instinctively wonders towards the most natural enviornment she can find.
